Dr. Paul House, professor in 色虎视频’s Beeson Divinity School, will deliver the annual Biblical Studies Lectures Tuesday through Thursday, Feb. 14-16, at 11 a.m. in Hodges Chapel at 色虎视频.  Theme of the lectures will be “God’s Character in God’s World: The Old Testament’s Enduring Witness.”

Dr. House’s topics will be “God’s Character and God’s Word,” Tuesday, Feb. 14; “God’s Mercy for His People,” Wednesday, Feb. 15; and “God’s Character in God’s World: God’s Justice,” Thursday, Feb. 16.

House has been a professor at Beeson since 2004, and served six years as associate dean of the school.  He previously taught at Taylor University, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry and Wheaton College.  He is author or editor of 15 books, including The Unity of the Twelve, Old Testament Survey, Old Testament Theology and Lamentations.  He has been pastor of churches in Missouri, Indiana and Kentucky.

The Biblical Studies Lectures are one of three annual lectureships hosted by Beeson to enrich the spiritual life of the community and enhance the educational experience of students.  The lectures are presented in alternate years by Old and New Testament scholars.
