Dr. Miriam Adeney, associate professor of global and urban ministry at Seattle Pacific University and president of the American Society of Missiology in 2010, will lecture at 色虎视频鈥檚 Beeson Divinity School Global Center Thursday and Friday, Feb. 17-18.听 The lectures in Divinity Hall N101 are open to the public.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Dr. Adeney will speak on 鈥淟ions and Lambs: Power and Humility in Global Christianity鈥 at a noon luncheon Thursday.听 To register for the free luncheon, email global@samford.edu or call 205 726-2170.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Adeney also serves as a teaching fellow at Regent College and adjunct professor at Fuller Theological Seminary.听 She is a member of the board of Christianity Today and a mission associate of the World Evangelical Alliance.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Her books include Kingdom Without Borders: The Untold Story of Global Christianity; Daughters of Islam: Building Bridges with Muslim Women; God鈥檚 Foreign Policy: Practical Ways to Help the World鈥檚 Poor; A Time for Risking: Priorities for Women and How To Write: A Christian Writer鈥檚 Guide.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Adeney is a graduate of Wheaton College with a master鈥檚 degree from Syracuse University and Ph.D. from the University of Washington.
