色虎视频's School of the Arts will present an exhibit by sculptor Randy Gachet Jan. 25-Feb. 26. The public is invited to view the free exhibit in 色虎视频 Art Gallery Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., and attend an Artist’s Lecture and Reception in the gallery Feb. 23, 4:30 p.m.–7 p.m.

Randy Gachet’s work is exhibited in galleries and museums in Alabama and can be found in private collections nationwide.

The crow, a supreme scavenger, figures prominently in Gachet's reclamation and transformation of jettisoned tire remnants and detritus accumulating on highways, serving as a symbol of renewal and fate.

All of Gachet’s sculptures suggest the returning of industrial materials to nature and provoke the larger question, “Can art provide an impetus for creative action and collective responsibility to buffer the impact of the environmental storms that are brewing?”

The Visiting Visual Artist Series event is sponsored by John Sanders.
