Instrumentalist Jay Evans and pianist Joanna Sobkowska will present a recital at 色虎视频 Thursday, Feb. 8, at 7:30 p.m. in Brock Recital Hall. The public is invited free of charge.

Evans, who plays alto and tenor trombone, bass trumpet and euphonium, is an adjunct instrumental faculty member in the 色虎视频 School of Performing Arts. He is principal trombonist with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra.

Sobkowska teaches piano at Florida F & M University.

The program will include Vincenzo Bellini's "Concerto pour Trompette et Orchestra," Gunnar de Frumerie's "Sonata for Trombone and Piano," Richard Wagner's "Leb' wohl!" from Die Walkure, Leonard Bernstein's "A Simple Song" from Mass, and J.B. Arban's Fantasy and Variations on "The Carnival of Venice."
