What do you think is the BEST thing about Cumberland?
The best thing about Cumberland is the supportive environment. Students genuinely care about each other and celebrate each other's successes. While law school is inherently competitive, Cumberland fosters a uniquely collaborative and engaging environment.
Why did you choose Cumberland?
I chose Cumberland because it offers a supportive environment where I knew I could thrive. I knew I would be moving to a new place for law school, so I wanted a school with a strong student community and opportunities to get involved through intramural, academic, and social programs.
What do you most enjoy about studying law in Birmingham? What do you like to do in Birmingham?
Birmingham has so much to offer, from great local restaurants to beautiful trails, churches, and local entertainment. There are so many cute pockets of the Birmingham area to explore!
If you could give any advice to your pre-law school self, what would you say?
I would encourage myself to spend more time visiting campuses and talking to current law students. While online resources are helpful, being on campus helps you see if it is a place you could thrive. Take the time to talk with current students to get a better idea of what everyday life looks like there.
What do you plan to do after graduation?
My post-graduation plans are still undecided, but I’m excited to use my education to pursue meaningful work.
