
Carlissa Carson, assistant professor at 色虎视频's Cumberland School of Law, has been featured in The Washington Times’ article “” marking the 24th anniversary of the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
Drawing from her scholarship, including her article “” published in the San Diego Law Review, Carson provided expert commentary on the enduring impact of the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF). Her insights highlight the need for legislative reform and a recalibration of executive war powers in the post-9/11 era.
At Cumberland School of Law, Carson teaches military justice courses. In addition to teaching law, Carson is a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force (Air National Guard) and serves as the staff judge advocate for the 117th Air Refueling Wing in Birmingham, Alabama.
