West was honored with the Marlin Harris Award for Outstanding Service to the World Languages Profession at the conference Feb. 3-4 at Auburn University. The award recognizes an individual who has rendered extraordinary service over time to the world languages profession and to the AWLA.

Also at the AWLA conference, West gave presented her research on “Using SCOLA International News, Radio, and Television programs as a Source of Authentic Documents in the World Languages Classroom.”
