Dr. Penny Marler of 色虎视频’s religion department received a $47,000 grant from the Indianapolis-based philanthropic organization for her studies on peer learning in spiritual settings. The endowment will help Marler complete a book project on the three-year study which began at Austin Presbyterian Seminary.
The peer group study researched the benefits for pastors who learn and grow in peer group settings. Dr. Marler published and presented her findings before a national gathering of Sustaining Pastoral Excellence directors in May.
